Marcus qualified in 1998 for the British School of Osteopathy having studied full time for 5 years including a 1 year break following the arrival of his son.
Prior to studying Osteopathy Marcus served with the Royal Engineers and then joined the Metropolitan Police in 1993. Following a neck injury Marcus was medically discharged. It was after the injury that he saw an Osteopath and was so impressed that he decided to study to become one himself.
Following graduation he worked for Dr HE Jackson in Reading and went on to set up the Lower Earley Osteopaths practice in 1999.
He has developed a keen interest in chronic pain conditions and was a founder member of the All Party Parliamentary Group on Fibromyalgia.
Since then he has studied Pilates which he has taken into the clinical environment. He studied Medical Acupuncture and is a member of the British Medical Acupuncture Society.
Marcus is a Boxing coach and runs several Boxing fitness programmes which many of his patients find beneficial alongside Osteopathic treatment.
I enjoy my work immensely and I am always researching the most current methods of treatment available. I work and study alongside many other healthcare professionals including physiotherapists, personal trainers and chiropractors which has helped me develop my own current style of treatment. I am particularly keen on improving my patient's posture and I work with breathing and relaxation techniques to help us cope with life's stresses. I always work hard to get you back to fitness as soon as possible.
